This week, we visited Summer Fun at the Lexington Office on Youth for a lesson on LEGOs and spatial skills. We made our own LEGO and DUPLO creations, worked together as a team to build the tallest tower of Mega-Bloks, and made LEGO creations from instructions! It was a great morning at LOY!
Love building LEGOs? Think your creations are worth a prize?
We have just the day for you! The Fulcher lab is hosting a LEGO build day for children 8 and younger, where we'll build creations and enter them into the Rockbridge Fair & Expo's LEGO competition on your child's behalf.
Drop off is at 3:00 at the Great Hall of the W&L Science Center, where parents will fill out fair entry forms. Pick up is at 4:30 in the same location. Don't worry about any of the other fair details -- we'll take care of getting it to the fair, entering the creation, and bringing it back!
Email us ( email@example.com ) to sign up for next Saturday's event!
So are we! If you have children ages 3-10, consider spending an morning or an afternoon with us. We have lots of fun research projects going on, and would love for families to come in during their last few weeks of the summer. All participants receive a prize for their help!
